On October 14, the 13th National Mine Rescue Skills Competition officially opened in Jining, Shandong Province, showcasing the latest advancements in mine rescue equipment and underground mining safety technologies. The event is jointly hosted by the Ministry of Emergency Management, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, the Communist Youth League Central Committee, the State Administration of Mine Safety, and the Shandong Provincial Government, and organized by ShanDong Energy Group CO..LTD. It serves as a key platform for evaluating China’s mine emergency response capabilities and for elite mine rescue teams to exchange skills and innovations.

13th National Mine Rescue Skills Competition Opens in Shandong
This year’s competition brought together 64 teams and over 700 participants from 28 provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities and the Xinjiang Production ，Construction Corps, one ministry-affiliated institution, and five central enterprises. The event fully demonstrated the latest achievements in underground mine and tunnel emergency rescue teams. In parallel, the Advanced Technology and Equipment Exhibition displayed the “Five Small” technological innovations and emergency rescue equipment developed through the “Challenge-Driven Research” program, creating a collaborative platform for sharing practical solutions and innovative technologies in mine safety.
At the beginning of the exhibition, several distinguished leaders visited the company’s booth, including Song Yuanming, Member of the Party Committee and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Emergency Management as well as Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the National Emergency Rescue Center for Work Safety; Zhang Haibo, Member of the Standing Committee of the Shandong Provincial Party Committee and Vice Governor of Shandong Province; Alexis Greska, Secretary-General of the International Mine Rescue Organization; and Li Wei, Party Secretary and Chairman of Shandong Energy Group. They held cordial discussions with Song Ruhai, Chairman of Yanzhou Coal, and fully recognized the company’s technical strength, product capabilities, and practical achievements in the field of intelligent mining equipment.
Spotlight on Yanmei Heibao Mine Rescue Robots
During the exhibition, Yanzhou Coal’s Intelligent Multifunctional Mine Emergency Rescue Robot and Dual-Arm Multifunctional Mining Robot, developed in partnership with China University of Mining and Technology, became the focal points. These advanced mine rescue robots attracted attention for their exceptional adaptability to complex underground environments, precise operational capabilities, and innovative design. The display highlighted Yanmei Heibao’s strong presence in intelligent mining technology and high-end mine equipment development.
